Mac Startup Sound Download

Are you trying to boot up your Mac and notice the dreaded question mark inside a folder icon on the screen? Sometimes it appears for only a few seconds, and then your Mac boots normally. But it can also stay there, not letting your Mac boot. Such an error happens when your Mac cannot find a startup disk. Here are a couple of things you can do to fix it.

There are several reasons why your Mac may not be able to detect the startup disk. It can be either software or hardware issues. To minimize that possibility, Mac users should run regular maintenance for their Macs to keep top-level performance.

If you somehow managed to delete your startup disk, you will need to reinstall macOS after restarting in Recovery mode. If you deleted the Recovery partition, your Mac would use Internet Recovery to reinstall. You will need to be connected to the Internet.

Perhaps the most notable sound effect created by Reekes was the Mac boot up sound. Speaking to CNBC, he explained that he changed the sound without permission to do so because the previous effect was rather jarring and had become associated with a Mac rebooting after a crash. His goal was to create a sound that was more soothing:

Elsewhere, Reekes also created the camera shutter sound you hear on both the iPhone and on macOS when you take a screenshot. The shutter sound comes from his 1970s Canon AE-1 that he purchased in high school. Reekes said he recorded the sound and slowed it down, allowing him to customize it for Apple.

StartupSound.prefPane mutes the startup sound without changing your main volume setting so it doesn't affect the rest of your Mac's audio. You can select or de-select the startup volume using the Startup Sound pane added to the System Preferences when you've installed it.

Missing a startup tune on your Chromebook or other Chrome OS device? Install our Startup Sound extension from the Chrome Web Store, and enjoy the startup sound every time you boot your Chrome OS devices like Chromebook, Chromebit, Chromebase or Chromebox.

By default, this extension plays the startup tune of Ubuntu on every boot. You can change this setting, and choose from the startup sounds of macOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, and Windows 7. To set your preference, click on its icon on the toolbar. This icon is active only on supported devices, i.e., devices running on Chrome OS. This extension is not supported on other operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux), so the toolbar icon is grayed out on these platforms.

To change the default startup sound, click on the toolbar icon, which should launch the options page. Here you can change the startup sound, as shown in the following screenshot. You can also listen these tunes before deciding.

Install the extension from Chrome Web Store, and reboot your Chromebook to enjoy the startup sound. If you like this extension, please rate it 5-stars on the Chrome store. Have feedback or suggestion? Leave a comment below, or email us at

This is a great app. There should be a shutdown one too! Some things you could add are: -The Windows NT 4.0, NT 5.0, Windows Vista, Windows 95, and Windows 7 sounds. -You could add your own short songs

Windows 10 is a great operating system, but by default, the startup sound can be a bit jarring. If you'd like to change it to something more pleasant or just want to disable the sound altogether, this article will show you how to do it.

The Windows 10 startup sound is one of the most iconic sounds in computing. It's a sound that's instantly recognizable, and it's a sound that many people have grown to love. However, some people find the startup sound annoying or simply want to change it for a more personal touch.

When Windows 10 starts up, the first thing you hear is a cheerful jingle. This sound changes with (almost) every major release, but the concept has been a part of Microsoft's operating system for years. Many Windows startup sounds have become just as iconic as the start-up chime on Apple computers.

The sound has undergone a few changes over the years, but it remains one of the most recognizable beeps in the tech world. Even though Microsoft considered staying away from startup sounds at one point, it made a return in modern versions of Windows.

We all want our gadgets to be customized and tailored to our needs. This includes little details, like the startup sound in your system. You can pick a tune from an earlier version of Windows - for example, the Windows Vista/7 theme - and use it on Windows 10. Alternatively, you can add an entirely custom sound as well!

Some users might want to disable the startup sound on their system entirely. This can be done for various reasons, like wanting to use another program that plays sounds during startup, or simply because you find the Windows 10 startup sound annoying.

Changing the Windows 10 startup sound is a quick and easy way to customize your computer and make it your own. Whether you're looking for a way to annoy your friends or simply want to add a personal touch to your PC, changing the startup sound is a great place to start.
